Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and Implementing Data Architectures: Develop robust and scalable data architectures aligned with organizational goals using Azure services.
• Managing Dedicated SQL Pools: Optimize and manage large-scale data workloads in Synapse.
• Database Design and Management: Oversee Azure SQL and Managed Instance databases, focusing on performance and security.
• ETL Processes: Develop efficient data pipelines using Synapse Pipelines to manage data flow.
• Data Governance and Cataloging: Ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility through effective governance practices.
• Data Models: Build and maintain scalable data models.
• Data Security and Compliance: Implement measures to ensure adherence to data security and regulatory requirements.
• Software Research: Research and recommend technologies aligned with future trends to support strategic goals.
• Documentation and Manuals: Maintain comprehensive documentation and procedural manuals.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• 4+ years of experience with Synapse Analytics, Dedicated SQL Pools, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Managed Instance.
• 5+ years of experience with T-SQL including DDL/DML, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• 4+ years of experience in data architecture design and best practices.
• 3+ years of experience with data governance and compliance related to security/privacy.
• 3+ years of experience integrating data from various sources and managing large data pipelines.
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure services, particularly in cloud storage and computing.
• 1+ year of experience with Python or Scala.
• Experience with Salesforce, Message MQ, and MuleSoft is also required.

Education and Certifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Certifications (desired but not required): Microsoft Dynamics 365 Certification and MS Dynamics Power Platform Certifications.

This role requires both technical expertise in the Azure environment and soft skills in communication, decision-making, leadership, and customer service
