Statistical Research, Inc. (SRI), a multi-disciplinary, cultural resources consulting firm, has several hourly positions immediately available for Crew Technicians for upcoming surveys in New Mexico and the surrounding area. SRI provides comprehensive CRM services to private and government clients at the federal, state, and local levels throughout the western United States from offices in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Washington.
Minimum Qualifications And Experience
Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of 6 months of field experience, primarily with survey, and be able to perform physically demanding tasks daily. Candidates should also have good organizational skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and execute new tasks. Prior exposure to the history and archaeology of the area now encompassed by New Mexico and the surrounding states is preferred, as is demonstrated field experience working with global positioning system (GPS) receivers and/or Field Maps. Prior experience in New Mexico and adjacent states will be viewed favorably but is not required.
Job Description
Reporting to the Project Director and/or Crew Lead, Crew Technicians are responsible for conducting pedestrian survey. To this end, Crew Technicians are required to perform the following tasks in the field for survey projects:
The hourly pay for this position is $20 - $25, depending upon experience. Daily food allowance, up to $59.00 per day (no receipts required), will be provided for days worked, and single-occupancy lodging accommodation will be provided for the duration of the project both during and between sessions. Wages for work on other SRI projects may vary and are based on individual qualifications and experience.
All employees are eligible to accrue PTO hours.

- Conduct archaeological survey and site recordation
- Record observations, including features and artifacts using a global positioning system (GPS)
- Complete field forms accurately and concisely
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to survey up to 10 hours a day in rugged terrain under a variety of weather conditions
