  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid Role - Onsite 2 days per week)

Job Type: Full-Time / Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Reston, VA. This hybrid role requires the candidate to be onsite two days a week. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in DevOps, with extensive expertise in AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, and GitLab. Local candidates are preferred as the client interview will be conducted in person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • DevOps Tools Management: Utilize and manage regular DevOps tools to streamline and automate workflows.
  • AWS Expertise: Leverage AWS services to maintain and enhance our current environment, ensuring best practices and security.
  • CI/CD Pipeline: Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Scripting: Write and maintain scripts in Java or Python to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Migration Projects: Lead and execute Jenkins to GitLab migration projects.
  • Terraform: Develop and manage Terraform modules to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

  • DevOps Tools: Proficiency in regular DevOps tools and practices.
  • AWS: Extensive experience working with AWS services, including relevant certifications.
  • Jenkins and GitLab: Strong experience with Jenkins and GitLab, including scripting related to these tools.
  • Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Java or Python scripting.
  • Terraform: Mandatory experience with Terraform, including module development.
  • Migration Experience: Experience with Jenkins to GitLab migration is a significant plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a DevOps role.
  • AWS and Terraform certifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Local or near-local candidates preferred due to in-person client interviews.
