Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Help Desk Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support to our staff, ensuring smooth operation of computer systems and software. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a customer service mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support to staff via phone, email, and in-person, addressing hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Assist with the setup, installation, and configuration of computer systems and applications.
  • Maintain and update documentation for IT processes, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Monitor and respond to help desk tickets in a timely manner, ensuring user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Educate staff on best practices for using technology and security protocols.
  • Assist in inventory management of IT equipment and supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
  • Strong understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
