Job Title: Senior Project Manager/Estimator Plumbing

Location: Charlotte, NC

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager/Estimator for Industrial Plumbing projects in Charlotte, NC. This role involves leading and managing large-scale plumbing projects from inception to completion, overseeing the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of plumbing systems within industrial facilities. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and under budget, while collaborating with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Development: Lead industrial plumbing projects, developing detailed plans with timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. Identify risks and create mitigation strategies.
  • Budget & Financial Management: Create and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and oversee contracts and change orders for accuracy and timely processing.
  • Project Execution & Coordination: Direct daily project operations, managing resources and schedules. Lead project teams and ensure quality work while collaborating with engineers and contractors.
  • Client Management: Act as the primary client contact, maintaining strong communication, providing project updates, and managing scope changes.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor project teams, providing training and professional development, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Quality & Safety Management: Ensure all plumbing installations meet quality and regulatory standards, promoting safety on job sites.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare project reports and maintain organized documentation, overseeing project closeout, including final inspections and handover of documentation to the client.
  • Estimating: Review project plans and prepare bid proposals, including accurate take-offs and vendor coordination.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Certifications: PMP certification preferred; relevant plumbing certifications or licenses (e.g., Master Plumber License) are a plus.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of project management experience in the industrial plumbing sector with a proven track record of success.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work on-site in industrial settings, including standing, walking, and climbing ladders.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • Primarily office-based with frequent site visits and flexibility to work outside normal hours as required.
