Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in installing, terminating, and testing various cabling systems. This role involves installing data and voice cabling, reading prints, and diagrams, and working with low-voltage technologies. You will play a key role in ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of network and communication systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install data and voice cabling systems.
  • Install and terminate Category 5e, 6, and 6a cabling, including patch panels and jacks.
  • Properly label, terminate, and test cables.
  • Install J-hooks, sleeves, firestop, cable trays, communication racks, and plywood backboards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Install and support other low-voltage technologies.
  • Potential training and exposure to network cabling, fiber optic cabling, termination, and testing.
  • Work with systems such as paging, speech privacy, notification, VoIP, CCTV, access control, and WiFi.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in cable pulling and termination.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver s license.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field.
