SAIC has an opportunity for a Network Operations Manager on our newly awarded NORAD/NITES program in Colorado Springs. The NetOps Lead will oversee and manage network operations ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of the network infrastructure. The individual will lead a team of network operators and engineers, coordinate with various stakeholders, and implement best practices for network management.

Description
SAIC has an opportunity for a Network Operations Manager on our newly awarded NORAD/NITES program in Colorado Springs. The individual will lead a team of network operators and engineers, coordinate with various stakeholders, and implement best practices for network management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily network operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network performance.
- Develop and implement network policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with DoD regulations and best practices.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to ensure the network is secure and compliant with applicable regulations.
- Oversee incident response and recovery efforts for network-related issues.
- Collaborate with other military commands and agencies to ensure seamless network integration and communication.
- Conduct regular assessments of network performance and security posture; recommend improvements or upgrades as necessary.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on network operations status, challenges, and initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff in network operations and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (a Master's degree may be preferred) with 8+ years of experience in network operations, management, or a related area, preferably within the DoD or military environment.
- Extensive knowledge of network architecture, protocols, and security measures.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and technologies (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
- Familiarity with DoD policies and regulations related to network operations and cybersecurity (e.g., NIST standards, RMF).
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications (preferred):
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher.
- CompTIA Security+ or other relevant cybersecurity certifications.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or related security certifications.
- Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
