Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Restructuring & Turnaround to lead their efforts in revitalizing underperforming businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successful turnarounds, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in restructuring, financial management, and operational improvement. This role requires a blend of analytical acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to drive change across diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive restructuring and turnaround strategies that align with the organization’s objectives.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial assessments to identify key issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement within underperforming units.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders to communicate strategic plans and gain support for initiatives.
  • Operational Improvement: Identify and implement operational efficiencies, cost-saving measures, and revenue enhancement strategies.
  • Change Management: Lead change initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of restructuring efforts and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, ensuring they possess the skills and resources necessary to execute turnaround strategies effectively.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on progress, challenges, and outcomes of restructuring initiatives to executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in restructuring, turnaround management, or corporate finance, with a demonstrated history of successful outcomes.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and the ability to drive cross-functional improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in managing complex projects with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with strong analytical capabilities.
