We are hiring a Floral Buyer at the Height location in Little Rock, Arkansas! The Floral Buyer is responsible for procuring and negotiating the cost of fresh flowers for multi retail locations and the wholesale business of the company. The flower industry is a unique business always with the goal to make someone happy.

A floral buyer's responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate market trends and price of floral goods.
  • Identify industry trends and needs.
  • Procure perishable and non-perishable products.
  • Replenish floral products through proper buying procedures.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for competitive prices.
  • Ensure the products meet our quality standards.
  • Travel to vendor sites and shows as requested by management.
  • Develop business relationships with vendors.
  • Assist in developing promotional plans that drive sales.
  • Ensure orders for products are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of retail or wholesale buying experience, preferably in floral industry
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Comprehensive knowledge of floral products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency.
