We are a progressive company moving to the cloud to enhance our data analytics and are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team.


As part of the Data team, you'll be at the forefront of driving data-driven decisions. This role requires a balance between technical expertise and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining our data infrastructure while ensuring it is reliable for analysis and operational needs.


In this position, you'll lead the modernization of the company's data architecture and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure data is leveraged effectively across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead and mentor the data engineering team, encouraging collaboration and ongoing development.

  • Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to align data solutions with business objectives.

  • Oversee data integration, ensuring data consistency and quality from multiple sources.

  • Build and maintain data pipelines and architecture to support analytics and operations.

  • Investigate and address data quality issues to maintain high data standards.

  • Implement data governance practices to ensure security, compliance, and privacy.

  • Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data systems.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and introduce innovative technologies and practices.


Qualifications:



  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.

  • Strong expertise in SQL, SSAS, and SSIS.

  • Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools like Qlik or Tableau.

  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.

  • Proficient in ETL tools and processes.

  • Skilled in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.

  • Preferred experience with Azure Cloud solutions.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business teams and provide continuous feedback.

  • A proactive mindset for influencing data-driven business decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills and time management.

  • Certifications like Azure Data Engineer Associate are a plus.
