Job Title: Manufacturing NPI Engineer
Location: Lake Oswego

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role in our New Product Introduction (NPI) process. You will be responsible for the successful transfer and qualification of embedded microcontroller-based circuit boards to a new manufacturing site. This involves close collaboration with our contract manufacturer (CM) to ensure a smooth transition and robust production launch.
Responsibilities:

  • Technology Transfer:
    • Lead the transfer of embedded microcontroller-based circuit board production to a new contract manufacturer (CM).
    • Collaborate closely with the CM to establish manufacturing processes, resolve technical queries, and address production challenges.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and quality control procedures.
  • Qualification and Validation:
    • Develop and execute test plans to validate product functionality and performance in accordance with quality standards.
    • Oversee the qualification process, ensuring the CM meets all requirements and specifications.
    • Generate reports documenting qualification activities and results, adhering to ISO standards.
  • NPI Process Support:
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our manufacturing readiness checklist.
    • Identify and manage engineering change orders (ECOs) within Arena PLM system.
    • Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and testability.
    • Work cross-functionally with design engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launch.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with a focus on NPI for electronic products.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded microcontroller-based circuit board assembly and testing.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and ISO standards.
  • Proficiency in Arena PLM or a similar PLM system.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers is a plus.
