Job Description:
7+ years of experience as Automation Engineer
8+ years of working experience of common machine shop techniques.
Must have experience with Line-Automation (design & install special purpose machine (SPM)
Mandatory experience with manufacturing automation domain (3+ years at least)
Must have a thorough knowledge and hands-on experience of drafting principles.
6+ years experience in AutoCAD and Solid Works.
A thorough knowledge of the use of pneumatics and hydraulics. A thorough knowledge of the use of electrical devices (i.e. switches, load cells, LVDT s, etc.).
Must be capable of designing tooling from sketches or verbal concepts.
Review electrical requirements with respect to input and output devises with electrical designers.
Assist the fabricators, machinists, toolmaker and electricians in the debug, integration resolving problems and completion of systems.
Strictly follow CSA N285 / NQA Quality requirements
Organize documentation, including quotes, drawing registers, correspondence, requisitions, drawings, schedules, etc. on projects you are supervising.
Perform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, temperature, pressure, force, etc. as related to machine and tool designs
Provide design support related to construction of CSA B51 and CSA N285.0
