The Senior Learning Designer will design, develop, facilitate, and evaluate learning solutions housed within learning paths for all Publix Technology technologists and managers. The learning paths will be created to help Publix Technology associates to effectively onboard new associates, efficiently adopt new technologies, and augment leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the training needs for all areas within Publix Technology, including technologists and managers.
  • Interview, collect, and work with subject matter experts within Publix Technology to gather information such as technical configurations, development best practices, and product development processes and procedures.
  • Design and develop engaging and interactive multimedia content (e.g., simulations, videos, interactive modules) to support learning solutions that enhance technologists? learning experiences.
  • Design and develop engaging learning solutions for technologists and managers that align with adult learning principles, target requirements identified in learning needs analyses, and enhance the performance of Publix Technology associates. The learning solutions will be in various modalities, such as instructor-led trainings, microlearning activities, collaborate learning experiences, and
  • Build and maintain valued relationships with Publix Technology leadership, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
  • Facilitate Publix Technology created training classes in virtual and traditional formats.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the learning solutions through quantitative and qualitative methods. Adjust as needed to continuously improve the solutions to ensure increased engagement and retention.
  • Design, develop, and deliver training and resources for the Publix Technology onboarding and mentorship programs.
  • Bachelor?s degree in computer science, English, communications, instructional design, adult learning, business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of a variety of learning solutions in a technology company
  • 3+ years of experience using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360)
  • 2+ years of experience delivering training in a technology company.
  • 2+ years of experience managing project teams and project implementation oversight.
  • 2+ years of experience managing an onboarding program for a technology company.
  • Experience with the following applications:
    • Canva
    • Learning Management Systems
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • Microsoft Teams
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies as it pertains to software development and project management.
  • Strong project management skills used to lead and manage training projects often including highly technical content with multiple subject matter experts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform
  • Experience with microlearning solutions.
