Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for Program Analyst. The Systems Administration Unit in our new Disease Control Informatics Branch is seeking a Program Analyst to join the Integrated Reporting, Investigation, and Surveillance (IRIS) System Administration team. Under supervision, the analyst will act as a Business Analyst and part of the core technical project management team for the IRIS System to assist in documenting and developing key system processes/workflows, Standards of Practice (SOPs), systems testing/upgrade plan documentation, and coordinating/tracking reported system issues/bugs resolution. Incumbents apply a thorough knowledge of all phases of information technology business analysis for problem identification and resolution. The right candidate possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and provide user trouble shooting.
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 6/30/25 with strong chance of extension.
Pay Rate-
$53.32/hr

Job Duties:
  • Elicits and documents user requirements for new systems and system enhancements; documents functional and technical requirements.
  • Conducts interviews, performs workflow analysis, and documents system processes and system workflows within the IRIS System.
  • Assist in documenting standards of practice for the IRIS System.
  • May assist in preparing detailed specifications, addressing scope and boundaries of the system, data requirements, user functions, forms and reports, workflow, interfaces, security, audit trails, and business continuity requirements.
  • Assists in developing test plans for system upgrades and/or changes.
  • Prepares technical systems documentation, user manuals and online help.
  • Performs analysis to help resolve application problems and assists users in trouble shooting application issues.
  • Utilizes tools, such as SalesForce and Ivanti, to track issues/bugs in the system and coordinate resolution.
Skills/Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in either public health administration, epidemiology, public health statistics, public health microbiology or communicable disease control -and- four years of experience in the analysis of mental health or public health programs. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in either public health administration, epidemiology, public health statistics, public health microbiology or communicable disease control may be substituted for one year of the required experience; and
  • Valid Class C California Drivers License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
