At Mazzetti, we are a diverse team of multidisciplinary engineering professionals dedicated to delivering comprehensive design and engineering solutions to our clients. To that end, we are currently in immediate need of the professional services of a Virtual Design & Construction Director to join our team and enhance our ability to provide top-tier virtual design and construction services. The Virtual Design & Construction Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative strategies for virtual design and construction processes for our clients’ projects.

The hired individual will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Produce and review drawings using computer-assisted design systems to ensure the ensure the designs are represented well, are consistent with clients’ expectations, and comply with relevant building codes and related requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive architectural design and analysis throughout the planning, design, and construction phases of projects, contributing to the achievement of project goals and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with management to determine Standard Operating Procedures for BIM processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency of designs and materials used across projects, and providing instructions to be followed.
  • Monitor the BIM process across various project types (including Hospitals, Data Center facilities, and both new construction and renovation projects) to ensure alignment of the order of work with project objectives and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate efforts with production partners overseas to ensure the productivity and success of all architectural and construction designs.
  • Utilize project management software to manage RFIs and Submittals, facilitating clear communication of design changes with clients, architects, and construction managers.
  • Conduct research on current industry trends and spearhead the exploration of new BIM applications at both organizational and industry levels, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in architecture or a related field.
  • 2 years’ work experience applying building information modeling (BIM) for architectural design and construction projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software and Revit.
  • Telecommute is permitted.
