Canonical Data Architect
Scottsdale Arizona (Onsite)

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of canonical data models ensuring alignment with business requirements and data governance policies
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data models that meet those needs
- Design and implement data models that are scalable flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements
- Ensure data models are consistent with industry standards and best practices
- Develop and maintain data modeling standards guidelines and procedures
- Provide expertise and guidance on data modeling and data governance to IT teams and business stakeholders
- Collaborate with data architects to ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture
- Participate in data governance councils and working groups to ensure data models align with organizational data governance policies
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data modeling and data governance
Requirements
- 15 years of experience in data modeling with a focus on canonical data modeling
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles data governance and data architecture
- Experience with data modeling tools and technologies such as Erwin Power Designer or similar
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work with business stakeholders and IT teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to understand complex business requirements
- Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices
- Experience in Supply Chain Management SCM
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Certification in data modeling or data governance such as CDM or CDMP
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies
- Knowledge of data quality and data integration principles
- Experience with agile development methodologies
