  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Founded in 1996, Duplitech is one of L.A.'s most respected independent media service labs. We provide a full range of content delivery solutions: On Disc, On Demand and On DCP. Our in-house services include: 4K film scanning & digital restoration, Blu-ray/DVD authoring, mezzanine package creation & QC for digital release, technical editing and asset conform, standards conversion, subtitling, and audio restoration/up mix.

We currently have an opening in our QC Department with openings in Burbank and Torrance facilities. This position is part time and on-call based on available work. This application is for our Torrance Facility. If you are okay with both locations; please apply to your closest location and note in the cover letter. Please do not apply for both locations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Linear testing on video, audio and subtitle tracks; menu and disc navigation and player compatibility.
  • Film restoration QC
  • Digital QC - Platform expectations / requirements
  • S&P and Master QC
  • Emulation QC of authored DVD and BD disc images and replica samples.
  • Detailed reporting of errors and anomalies
  • Communication with QC Managers and other Duplitech staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in DVD/Blu-ray Testing or Digital/Master QC
  • Film Restoration QC (Dirt, Flicker, Artifacts, Etc) experience is a major plus
  • Solid Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Attention to Detail
    Must be self motivated; proactively seek to improve knowledge of testing procedures
  • Individuals who are available to work evenings and weekends are preferred
