Lead Staff Software Engineer - Experimentation

StubHub is looking for a Lead Staff Software Engineer - Full-Stack to lead, design and develop the next-generation technologies and complex features that change how millions of users explore, interact with and participate in live events worldwide. As a Lead Staff Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of developing the team's commercial and product strategy and will be expected to be equally focused on user needs and to exercise good commercial (not just technical) judgement. Our Lead Staff Software Engineers are essential for our company's success, so they must show initiative and enthusiasm for the problems they solve.

This role will be based in either our Seattle, WA or Santa Monica, CA office and has a hybrid (3 in-person days per week) work schedule.

The Experimentation Platform team is a group of passionate engineers who obsess about accelerating innovation through trustworthy experimentation. We provide tooling and microservices that enable experimentation in all applications, both consumer facing and internally. We ensure that all data and associated core analyses are available to users for all experiments promptly. We enable data scientists and analysts to extend the platform with new and novel analyses.

What You'll Do

• Lead team to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain impactful improvements across all StubHub's consumer-facing properties, resulting in high-quality outcomes
• Manage the definition, scoping, and execution of initiatives, work prioritization, and impact maximization for your team

What You've Done

• 10+ years of professional experience in software development
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience in a hands-on capacity
• 2+ years of in-depth experience with React and relevant toolsets/framework ecosystems
• Experience-building data-intensive user-facing applications emphasizing insight discovery and streamlined data analysis.
• Experience in designing and developing solutions that maximize ROI and led to significant business impact
• Proven ability to learn other coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools
• Experience working closely with product teams, designers, and other engineers to create impactful and highly-performant web experiences
