Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of PMO to join our dynamic IT team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) in planning, managing, and executing a diverse portfolio of projects in the federal, state, and private sectors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and vendor management to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Establish and maintain robust risk management, governance frameworks, and performance measurement processes.
  • Drive organizational strategy and alignment through consistent and transparent communication with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the PMO team.
  • Manage and mentor a team of project managers, ensuring high levels of performance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align project initiatives with overall business goals and strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements, supporting the organization's commitment to risk management and governance.
  • Participate in high-level decision-making processes related to project execution, budgeting, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of experience managing large and complex portfolios in federal, state, and private industries.
  • Strong background in contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Experience in risk management, governance, and project financials.
  • Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and managing high-stakes projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Eligible for security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree is required; a degree in Computer Science, Management, or a related field is required.
  • PMP, PgMP, or other project management certifications required.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage actions to meet changing deadlines and requirements within a high volume, high stress environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and demonstrated professionalism.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and able to work in a team and independently.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Highly responsive to requested needs.
