Job responsibilities
- Responsible for data strategy and design of high volume transactional, operational, analytical, and reporting solutions for Digital product area of Consumer and Community Banking businesses.
- Working side by side with the business and development and product architecture teams to develop data domain strategies and conceptual and logical data models.
- Assist in defining, documenting, and evangelizing patterns and solutions supporting large-scale database platforms including public cloud platforms, relational, and No-SQL data solutions.
- Able to define and enforce consistency in design, storage, movement, security, quality, & usage of information required to support the business.
- Partner with key business and IT stakeholders to define and drive adoption of data strategies including big data, micro services, and event driven architecture.
- Support and integrate data practices into various methodologies such as Agile, Domain Driven Design, Micro services, and Event Driven Architectures.
- Design and develop data solutions and implement controls/governance across all data domains.
- Identify and govern appropriate data sourcing, data lineage, and metadata.
- Lead/participate in meetings, providing continuous feedback and offering constructive options to ensure project tracks to original expectations.
- Manage competing priorities, multiple work streams, meet deadlines.
- Document and communicate decisions, strategies, and roadmaps.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in information management field, with 3 years of experience directly managing data & information architecture.
- Possess skills and experience with large-scale database platforms including relational and No-SQL.
- Experience in creating and reviewing Architecture and Development artifacts such as Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models.
- Hands-on data modeling skills utilizing tools such as Erwin.
- Knowledge of core Information Architecture capabilities including Master and Reference Data Management, Data Quality (DQ), Metadata Management, Data Taxonomy, Data Integration, Data Migration, and Data Modeling.
- Ability to collaborate with business teams to understand, translate and capture the requirements into Taxonomies, Strategies/Roadmaps, Conceptual and Logical Data Models.
- Strong communication and writing skills, ability to conduct workshops, facilitate interviews with Subject Matter Experts to capture and document business requirements. Ability to translate business rules into system requirements and data models.
- Hands-on experience using SQL/NO-SQL Databases including CockroachDB, Cassandra, and other cloud-based data solutions.
- Experience in defining and implementing data transformation logic.
- Ability to work independently and own deliverables from inception to delivery.
- Ability to build strong relationships with developers and stakeholders to ensure successful project/program delivery.
- Experience in working as part of a distributed global development team, responsible for the design, implementation, delivery, and support of a global application spanning multiple time-zones.
- Experience in supporting continuous application development and data design following an Agile development methodology.
- Experience with solutions over the full data lifecycle including data capture, quality, security, archiving, and records retention.
- Understanding of major architectural concepts such as Event Driven Architecture, Micro services Architecture, and Domain Driven Design.
- Strong exposure to Data Management, Governance, and Controls with a proven track record of defining and implementing.
- Ability to turn strategies into roadmaps with discreet milestones to drive and track adoption and implementation.
- Experience and understanding of data technologies and patterns for cloud environments including both public and private cloud deployments.
- BS/BA degree or higher (computer science preferred) or equivalent experience.
