The DDME (Director, Digital Marketing & Engagement) is responsible for strategic planning, implementing and optimizing digital marketing campaigns, including meaningful measurement strategies that align with client objectives; produce KPI dashboards using Google Data Studio or other BI tools and deliver monthly, cross channel reporting with actionable insights; execute paid social media campaigns; build and manage Google Adwords and display campaigns; analyze and recommend other key digital media channels as appropriate for the client, including programmatic, e-mail, CRM, OTT, CTV, analyze results and offer optimization recommendations meant to improve efficiencies and increase ROI.

The DDME will also support strategy and account staff in conducting audience research, segmentation, social listening and related analysis, leveraging open source data as well as 3rd party planning tools and resources available on a subscription basis.

They will also collaborate with the agency finance team to reconcile media spend across different client budgets.

What you'll do:

Establish Strategic Campaign Direction

  • Work with account teams and clients to define campaign objectives and goals
  • Develop strategic recommendations for digital media plans (channel mix, budget allocation, analytical tools, timing, pacing, etc.)
  • Field inquiries and answer ad hoc questions on a routine basis as to campaign planning rationale, performance, reporting, new opportunities, etc.

Digital Campaign Management

  • Directly manage campaigns or supervise staff or contractors assigned to those campaigns
  • Campaign planning, setup, execution, management and reporting
  • Audience/Keyword Research
  • Weekly Account Optimizations
  • Negative keyword management
  • Establish and manage campaign dashboards
  • Campaign Optimization (analyze account performance and execute weekly campaign edits)
  • Accurately manage campaigns according to approved budgets
  • Manage campaigns on all major social and digital channels: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tiktok, Google, Bing, programmatic etc.
  • Collaborate with other media teams (DPN, Stagwell and contractors) to deliver high performing media plans for all assigned clients
  • Collaborate with our digital team on website performance and optimization recommendations

What you need to succeed:

  • Deep experience with SEM and SEO, including relevant certifications
  • Experience in working within a marketing/business intelligence environment
  • Strong intuitive analytical ability to produce campaign performance and audience segmentation analysis, using data from multiple sources (digital campaigns, web analytics, 1st and 3rd party data, social data, etc)
  • Experience working with analytical software (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture, etc.)
  • Experience working with Google Adwords and other paid search platforms
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for producing client reports and presentations
  • Strong interpersonal communication and written and oral presentation skills.
  • Experience in identifying and validating strategic and tactical marketing objectives
  • Experience in measuring and analyzing online marketing campaigns including organic and paid search, email, affiliate, display and social
  • Experience in working with the following: Google Adwords, Google Display Network, Google Data Studio, Google Analytics, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn Ads

Preferred but not mandatory:

  • Experience with tools for A/B and multivariate testing, e.g. Google Website Optimizer, Visual Website Optimizer, etc.
  • Experience working with email automation platforms such as Marketo or Pardot, and BI tools such as Datorama or Power BI
  • Experience in working with research, media planning and social listening tools such as: Statista, Simmons, Comscore, Netbase, Sysomos, and Resonate.
