POSITION TITLE: AWS Solution Architect
REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering
LOCATION: Need the best candidate preferably but not restricted to the Greater Tampa Area

Who you are
You are a highly-skilled and experienced Solutions Architect who is very well-versed and preferably certified in AWS-based solution architecture. You understand that as a solution architect your role is an equal blend of tech evangelism, framework definition, product alignment, tech selection and optimization, crisp analysis, and visual design. You will possess a combination of these strong architecture skills in tandem with a solid understanding of cloud engineering concepts around performance tuning and cloud storage/cost optimization. This role represents a unique opportunity to be at the first floor of a company that is poised to transform the healthcare access conversation in the country. What you will be doing
- Solution(s) Architecture Definition Create a framework for the end-to-end technology footprint of the organization at the macro and micro levels. Establish standards and guidelines for tech solutions and ensure they align with the product goals/roadmap.
- Evaluating and Selecting Technology Drive the process to select tech solutions that align with the technology and product roadmaps, and on an AWS chassis.
- Developing and Maintaining Tech Roadmaps Roadmap creation with clarity in terms of how the roadmap satisfies both the tech and product strategies.
- Driving Innovation Identify emerging technologies that might optimize existing architecture while delivering quicker on our roadmaps and value proposition.
- Change Management Facilitate the management of change as the organization progresses along the tech and product roadmaps.
- Relationships Building/Management Work collaboratively with partners across the organization especially the product, operations, and sales organizations to ensure congruence of execution.
- Performance Optimization - Identify opportunities to optimize the functionality, performance, stability and security of existing platforms, continuously assessing systems, processes and procedures for possible improvements.
- Storage & Cost Optimization Ensure the AWS architecture is optimized to drive excellent performance in tandem with a reduced storage footprint and optimized cost.
- Assist the engineering teams to develop elegant solutions and implement software and systems when necessary.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Engineering at his discretion from time to time.
What you need
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. Master s degree is desirable.
- Minimum of five years in solution architect roles, with expertise in AWS
- AWS Solution Architect certification is highly preferred.
- Implementation of Databricks on AWS would be a definite plus.
- Communication, both verbal (e.g., presentations, seminars, etc.) and written (e.g., reports, articles, etc.).
- Group session facilitation
- Marketing ( selling architectural approaches through presentations).
- Modeling and graphical representations and abstractions.
- Management (e.g., prioritization, trade-off analysis, psychology, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of systems engineering, network engineering and software engineering.
- Specific Technologies: AWS, AWS Native Tools, O365, Databricks, VMware
- HIPPA, PCI, PII and other data related rules and regulations would be a plus.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with often-changing priorities.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry is important.
