  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Posting: Entry-Mid Level Ecologist

Company: Eastside Environmental Pros

Location: Hybrid (Woodinville, Washington)

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year ($28.85 - $33.65 per hour)

Eastside Environmental Pros is seeking a motivated Entry-Mid Level Ecologist to join our hybrid team. As part of a growing environmental consulting firm, you will complete a variety of environmental services, including wetland delineations, stream Ordinary High Water Mark (OHWM) determinations, habitat surveys, and mitigation/restoration planning for residential projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct wetland delineations, stream OHWM determinations, and habitat surveys. We typically complete 2-3 Site visits per week on Monday/Wednesday.
  • Prepare wetland delineation reports, mitigation plans, and environmental restoration plans.
  • Manage residential projects from start to finish, with guidance and training from a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS).
  • Utilize GIS for mapping tasks and report preparation.
  • Split workload between fieldwork and office work (approximately 50/50)

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of wetland delineation and technical report writing experience in the Pacific Northwest.

Certifications:

  • Certification in Wetland Science and Management from the University of Washington (or current enrollment) highly preferred.
  • Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) preferred but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; GIS skills are a plus (training provided).
  • Fieldwork: Must have a reliable vehicle for site visits (mileage reimbursed). Safety gear and tools will be provided.
  • Travel: Frequent travel to King and Snohomish County. Occasional travel to Pierce, Skagit, Whatcom, Thurston, Island, and San Juan County. Travel outside of these areas is uncommon.
