Job Description

Position

Interm teacher position to cover teacher leave of absence, Oct 22-Nov 26.

STEM School

The STEM School is a 9-12 magnet school located in Chattanooga, TN, on the campus of Chattanooga State Community College. Our school is based on three tenets: collaboration, critical thinking and innovation. We embed these tenets daily into our work at the student, teacher and administrator levels. If you want to challenge the paradigm of what school can be, the STEM School is your place.

We consistently innovate and re-imagine the school experience for students. We are the only school in the state with a perfect score on the Tennessee STEM Designation, which is reflective of our consistent desire to challenge the status quo.

We are looking for teachers who have been successful in a traditional school setting but realize that school can be so much more. Instead of wanting to be the best teacher on the hall, our teachers want to be part of a team to create the best experiences for our students.

STEM School Chattanooga has earned state recognition (STEM Designation and Rewards School), national recognition (1 of 2 schools designated by MIT Fab Foundation as STEM Digital Fabrication Leader), and world recognition (1 of 30 schools in the world recognized by America Achieves for Innovative Learning).

Hamilton County Schools, located in Chattanooga, TN, is working to ensure that all students thrive and experience a future without limits. We are committed to excellence for every student and are seeking outstanding leaders, teachers, support staff, and district employees who desire to make a difference in the lives of students. With nearly 75 schools, we are confident that you can find your place in Hamilton County.
