5. Main responsibilities

Sales and Operations

• Work within the S&OP process to review RCCP across the producing work centers in the S&OP process to resolve supply/demand unbalances in an effort to optimize the production capacity.

• Evaluate production capacity in alignment with demand forecasts, making recommendations for adjustments or expansions as needed.

• Work with production teams to optimize resource/asset utilization and ensure that capacity meets demand requirements.

• Conduct scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of different demand scenarios, supply constraints, and market changes on the S&OP process.

Operational excellence

• Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, ensuring minimal stockouts and excess inventory.

• Implement inventory control strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce holding costs.

• Work closely with production teams to develop and communicate production schedules that align with demand forecasts.

• Monitor and adjust production plans based on changes in demand, supplier performance, and other relevant factors.

• Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.

• Monitor global market trends, regulatory changes, and geopolitical events that may impact the supply chain.

Data Analytics

• Utilize advanced analytical tools and software to analyze supply chain data and generate insightful reports (PowerBI, SAP, IBP, etc.).

• Responsible practices involve proactive risk analysis, scenario planning, and developing strategies to address potential disruptions.

• Foster transparency throughout the supply chain by providing stakeholders with clear visibility into relevant data. This includes sharing information on inventory levels, order status, and shipment tracking.

• Present key performance indicators (KPIs) and actionable insights to management for informed decision-making.

Quality

• Integrate sustainability goals into supply chain operations, implementing initiatives to reduce environmental impact, minimize waste, and enhance overall sustainability.

• Coordinate the integration of new chemical products into the supply chain, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that raw materials and finished products meet quality standards. Implement measures to address any deviations from specifications.

People

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and operations, to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives.

9. Job Requirements

Academic Background (for performing function) Courses/ Specific Knowledge / Languages (for performing function)

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

• Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and/or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS a plus

• 5+ years of related Supply Chain experience

• Production planning experience in the chemical industry with batch and/or continuous production

• Proven experience in supply chain planning, preferably in the chemical industry.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Familiarity with SAP/Oracle ERP systems and supply chain planning software.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
