VP of Strategy

Great Lakes Rubber and Supply (GLI), now known as Great Lakes Industrial, with headquarters in Milwaukee, WI, is a mid-size industrial manufacturer and distributor of seal solutions for hundreds of OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) worldwide. We service a variety of industries including medical, automotive, heavy duty, general industrial, and defense.

POSITION

The VP of Strategy is responsible for developing, partnering, and executing on the strategic goals for Great Lakes Industrial and its subsidiaries. The VP of Strategy will work closely with the executive team, customers, and vendors to better understand the market and provide recommendations on how we can grow both organically and through acquisition. In addition, they will be responsible for helping to develop and execute on our commercial sales and marketing strategies, as well as our M&A and property strategies.

Essential Functions:

- Works with VP of Sales and Sales Team to identify and execute on commercial product strategy

- Oversees the company’s M&A agenda, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and divestitures.

- Supports Customers in the development of their own business strategies and creates products and solutions to help solve them

- Works with Executive team to help identify and create solutions for organizational capabilities

- Partners with Customers and Monitors Market Landscape to identify trends for growth and differentiation

- Works with CFO and COO to identify and execute on Financial and Operational Strategic Plan

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies:

Skills & Abilities:

• 10+ Years of experience in a strategic or analytical role in the manufacturing or private equity industry
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts
• Proven track record of success in strategic planning, business development and commercialization execution
• Detail oriented with demonstrated organizational and multitasking skills a must
• Team player who is assertive, goal-oriented, positive, and self-motivated
• High level of Integrity
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities
• Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerBI
