Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for using creativity and design expertise to create concepts, illustrations and graphics that best meet outlined marketing objectives. This position is also responsible for working closely with and with guidance from The Villages Marketing Team to ensure end products are in alignment with goals. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Full-Time, On-Site position.

Competitive salary based on experience: Starting at $18.00 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Create designs, concepts and arrangements based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
  • Execute creative tasks and design projects.
  • Work alongside the team in assisting The Villages resident groups in advertising their productions and events.
  • Compose mailings, print, web ads, and collateral materials to meet campaign and/or account goals and objectives.
  • Make suggested changes from The Villages Marketing team(s) and prepare final pieces for production.
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly tasks using project management systems and reminders.
  • Attend special weekly team meetings regarding upcoming events, campaign objectives and idea sharing sessions.
  • Assist team in attending special events and market nights as assigned.
  • Assist in the overall initiatives of the Entertainment Marketing team as requested, contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or two (2) to four (4) years of related graphic design experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience or education working in print graphic design and/or newsprint industry and prepare files that print, fold, trim and bind correctly.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Cloud, and the Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are a requirement.
  • Comfort with working face-to-face and/or in public environments strongly preferred.
