Job Title: Director of Supply Chain

Position Overview:

The Director of Supply Chain will oversee and manage all supply chain operations, including purchasing, distribution, warehouses, inventory control, and logistics from suppliers to clients. This role will lead the development and execution of supply chain strategies that ensure seamless production flow, superior product quality, and on-time availability of materials to plants, as well as on-time and in-full delivery to customers. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Director of Supply Chain will play a critical role in driving the company’s mission to provide fresh, innovative, and high-quality meal solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement an integrated supply chain strategy aligned with FiveStar’s business goals to optimize cost, efficiency, and quality from suppliers to clients.

• Purchasing & Vendor Management: Oversee all procurement activities, negotiate contracts, build long-term relationships with key suppliers, and ensure cost-effective sourcing while maintaining the highest quality standards.

• Logistics Management: Ensure efficient transportation logistics for both inbound and outbound materials. Partner with logistics providers to optimize routes, reduce transportation costs, and ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery to customers.

• Warehousing & Inventory Control: Lead warehousing and inventory management to ensure all materials are stored and rotated per FIFO standards, with a strong emphasis on maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and organization. Ensure on-time availability of materials to production plants.

• Distribution: Manage the entire distribution network to ensure products are delivered to clients accurately, efficiently, on-time, and in-full, maximizing client satisfaction.

• Key Metrics & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain efficiency, on-time delivery, OTIF performance, inventory turnover, cost savings, and supplier performance. Generate regular reports and dashboards to keep leadership informed on the overall health and performance of the supply chain.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Finance, R&D) to support company growth, product development, and client satisfaction.

• Cost Optimization: Analyze and continuously seek opportunities to reduce supply chain costs through lean practices, supplier negotiation, and operational efficiency.

• Risk Management: Develop risk mitigation strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions, including supplier issues, inventory shortages, or logistical challenges.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
