Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on and innovative Prototype Engineer to design and develop physical prototypes of our systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with the engineering and R&D teams to rapidly iterate, build, and test prototypes, ensuring they meet military-grade performance and durability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prototype Development
Design and develop physical prototypes of the first system. Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hardware and software components into the prototypes.

Rapid Iteration
Lead rapid prototyping cycles, iterating on designs based on feedback from testing and validation phases.
Ensure prototypes meet defense standards for durability, precision, and operational functionality.

Testing Support
Assist in testing prototypes under simulated and real-world conditions to validate performance and durability.
Collaborate with engineers to resolve any issues and improve designs based on test results.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in prototyping for defense or aerospace systems.
• Proficiency in prototyping techniques and tools (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).
• Strong understanding of materials, defense-grade manufacturing processes, and production techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on rapid iteration and problem-solving.

Security and Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
• Eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance if required.
