Position Summary:

The Project Accelerate Coordinator will lead and manage the Project Accelerate program, designed to provide high school girls with career readiness skills, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to a variety of industries and career paths. The coordinator will develop and implement comprehensive programming focused on preparing girls for post-secondary education, internships, and workforce opportunities, ensuring that participants are empowered to succeed in their future careers.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development & Management:

  • Develop, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of the Project Accelerate program, including curriculum creation, workshop facilitation, and events planning.
  • Collaborate with the Director to align program activities with Girls Inc.'s mission and strategic goals.
  • Facilitate career readiness workshops focusing on skills such as resume writing, interview techniques, professional etiquette, and job searching.

Mentorship & Partnerships:

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteer mentors from the community and various industries to provide support to girls in the program.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, colleges, and community organizations to secure internships, job shadowing, and networking opportunities.

Participant Support & Development:

  • Provide one-on-one support to girls in the program, offering guidance on career goals, college applications, and scholarships.
  • Create and maintain individual development plans (IDPs) for each participant to track progress and ensure personal and professional growth.

Program Evaluation & Reporting:

  • Track and assess the outcomes of the Project Accelerate program, using both qualitative and quantitative metrics to measure success.
  • Prepare regular reports on program impact, including participant engagement, internship placements, and mentorship outcomes.

Collaboration & Teamwork:

  • Work closely with team members to ensure holistic support for participants.
  • Coordinate with the team to promote the program and share success stories with stakeholders and the community.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in education, social work, human services, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in program coordination, youth development, or career readiness required.
  • Experience working with high school students, particularly in underserved communities.
  • Strong facilitation, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Passionate about empowering girls to succeed academically and professionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Omaha’s local business and nonprofit community.
  • Knowledge of career pathways, internships, and workforce development strategies.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
