Primary Focus
Journeyman Computer Systems Engineer/Architect will support our customer, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), while working on the Revolutionary IT Services (RITS) program as a member of a team focused on operational excellence by conducting planned and coordinated network maintenance, break/fix actions, service level agreements (SLAs) performance, incident resolution, ticket queue management, customer service actions, and other enterprise network operations activities in the USACE OCIO/G-6 environment, IAW DoD, Army, and USACE O-CIO G6 policies and procedures.
This Position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Cayuse.

- Collaborate openly and frankly with all internal and external partners, such as Government Engineers, Contractor Engineers, Contractor Operations staff, Management, and 3rd party vendors.
- Work independently, help others, and ask for help without hesitation while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Complete all assigned tasks regarding planned and unplanned maintenance on Networking products within the Corps of Engineers' environment.
- Support Break/Fix actions as required.
- Maintain support for customers in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
- Take appropriate action on tickets placed into individual or team queue to resolve incidents in a timely manner.
- Act in accordance with USACE OCIO/G-6, DOD, and Army G6 policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Job Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- CompTIA Security+ and Cisco CCNA certification
- Working technical knowledge of network control protocols (QOS, PfR, PoE, NTP, DHCP), network management protocols (CDP, FTP, TFTP, SNMP) and security protocols (SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPSec)
- Strong knowledge of IP communication and routing is required (OSPF, BGP)
- Understanding of WAN/LAN transport technologies (Ethernet, DMVPN, MPLS)
- Bachelors and five (3) years or more experience; Masters and three (1) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
- Ability obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
Minimum Skills:
- Strong analytical and follow through skills.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to work well independently on defined tasks.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office; including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other general software applications.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior USACE experience
- Experience with enterprise WAN deployments
- Experience working in a DoD environment
- Experience with F5
- Experience with IPv6
- Experience with Cloud connectivity
- Experience with NSX
