Summary

As the Compliance Team Lead at Bridgewell Agribusiness, you will oversee and inspire a dedicated team to ensure the efficient and effective management of compliance operations. The Compliance Team Lead will play a crucial role in shaping the team’s success and enhancing overall service delivery.

Essential Duties

• Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering collaboration and ensuring the successful execution of projects and tasks to meet organizational objectives.

• Work with suppliers, ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and import brokers to secure and coordinate all international documents.

• Assurance of import and export regulatory compliance.

• Ensure timely movement of cargo across supply chain.

Other Job Duties

• Coordinate receipt of and review all necessary shipping documentation.

• Ensure timely filing of ISF and AES.

• Coordinate overseas 3rd-party inspections ensuring receipt of survey reports.

• Monitor and ensure shipment execution and movement.

• Support and work with internal departments to ensure documentation review and compliance.

• Communicate with buyers and sales teams of shipment status.

• Work with freight carriers and vessel operations team to resolve disputes.

• Monitor and troubleshoot inbound container release with ocean carrier and US Customs.

• Coordinate container release with our domestic distribution team

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Min. 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Conceptual Understanding:

Business Strategies, Agriculture food manufacturing, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Management, Business Law

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, detailed correspondence, and reports. Ability to write detailed correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Multilingual would be a positive.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as cost analysis, fundamental & technical market analysis, return on investment, budgets & financial reporting. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Computer Skills

Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicate by e-mail and use scheduling software.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
