Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Developer to support technology decisions and transform software development, with a focus on increasing developer productivity and improving solution delivery timelines for our customers. This position involves working closely with internal partners to architect scalable, flexible, and resilient software solutions.
Duties:
Collaborate with Product teams to develop scalable, flexible, and resilient software solutions that accelerate delivery timelines.
Partner with system architects and product owners to re-architect products for deployment on serverless containerized cloud frameworks.
Contribute to the transformation efforts to improve developer productivity and solution delivery as part of the Development Center of Excellence (CoE).
Ensure compliance with code quality, application security, accessibility, and 508 standards across all products and solutions.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to company standards, offering feedback for developer improvement.
Assist with talent acquisition, onboarding, and training on company development tools, processes, and standards.
Support business development by responding to RFP technical requirements, estimating development effort, and providing demonstrations.
Work within defined guidelines to support system design, develop and maintain templates, and modify existing templates as necessary.
Collaborate with the Development and Business Analysis teams to understand system design and functionality.
Develop templates following coding standards and perform unit testing under minimal supervision.
Analyze code, participate in review sessions, and identify errors for correction.
Create and maintain project artifacts as needed.
Communicate technical impact, root cause, and corrective actions to team leads and management.
Conduct gap analysis and assess the impact of system software changes.
Participate in Proof of Concepts and new initiatives.
Engage in sprint planning, estimation, and retrospective meetings to review project progress and make necessary adjustments.
Mandatory Skills/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline
5+ years of software development experience.
Strong understanding of troubleshooting technical issues with standard or custom programs.
Solid knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
Experience working with agile development methodologies.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Adaptability to project and task changes, with the ability to multitask.
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work within project plans and meet deadlines.
Desirable Skills/ Experience:
Experience in the healthcare domain is a plus.
Proficient in Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products such as COGNOS, CRM, IVR, Oracle E-Business Suite, IBM DataStage, IBM Watson Analytics, Salesforce, PEGA, MuleSoft, FileNet, SharePoint, Oracle SOA, Pitney Bowes EngageOne, and EDIFECS XEngine.
Experience in implementing end-to-end solutions using COTS products.
Skilled in solving complex problems through customizations of COTS tools.
Experience integrating COTS solutions with large-scale web applications and relational databases.
Strong understanding of single sign-on (SSO) integration for enterprise applications.
Knowledge of integrating applications with identity and access management (IAM).
Experience identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities in web applications.
Expertise in the design and implementation of COTS tools, including both functional and technical details.
Proven ability to oversee COTS product implementations and escalate issues with third-party vendors for resolution.
Experience training resources on various COTS tools.
Strong understanding of application security and architecture.
Experience creating both functional and technical documentation for COTS tools.
Knowledge of configuring application code on-premises and cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Oracle Cloud, and IBM Cloud.
