Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) to join our dynamic team for a healthcare client in Woburn, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and supporting cloud-based applications and services within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, manage, and optimize Google Cloud Platform environments to support various healthcare applications.
- Monitor cloud performance and implement solutions for resource optimization.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) and implement security best practices.
- Automate deployment and management of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager).
- Conduct capacity planning and disaster recovery testing.
- Document architecture and processes to maintain clarity and enable knowledge transfer.
- Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, specifically with Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, etc.) and their use cases.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and regulations.
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, etc.).
- Knowledge of networking concepts and cloud security best practices.
