Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) to join our dynamic team for a healthcare client in Woburn, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and supporting cloud-based applications and services within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, manage, and optimize Google Cloud Platform environments to support various healthcare applications.
  • Monitor cloud performance and implement solutions for resource optimization.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) and implement security best practices.
  • Automate deployment and management of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager).
  • Conduct capacity planning and disaster recovery testing.
  • Document architecture and processes to maintain clarity and enable knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, specifically with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, etc.) and their use cases.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance and regulations.
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, etc.).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and cloud security best practices.
