  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Title: Mainframe and Java Developer

Duration: 6 months contract to hire

Location: Reston, VA (Remote Role) (Need to travel to client location for PI meetings once in a Quarter)

Need only candidates from the DMV or WV

Must be ready to come for team meetings and PI planning meetings.

PI planning meetings are held once a quarter and the full team needs to come.

Need a Mainframe and Java Developer with expertise in COBOL, CICS, JCL, ChangeMan, and Java to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both mainframe technologies and Java development (Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Integration) to support modernization projects transitioning mainframe systems to Java-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain applications using COBOL and Java for modernization efforts.

Work on Java APIs and batch jobs, integrating with mainframe systems.

Perform complex software analysis, design, coding, testing, and debugging.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions for mission-critical systems.

Provide technical support and mentorship for junior developers.

Qualifications:

10 years of experience in software development, with strong skills in COBOL, CICS, JCL, and ChangeMan.

Proficiency in Java and Spring frameworks (Spring Core, Spring Boot, MVC, Integration).

Experience with Agile/Scrum, RESTful services, DevOps, and AWS.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Excellent communication skills.

Industry: Open, healthcare experience is a plus.
