Job Title: Technical Writer
Location: Tampa, Jacksonville, FL or Irving, TX
Duration: 6+ months contract with high possibilities of full time conversion
About the role:
We’re looking for a talented Technical Writer to join the Technology MCA team. We’re looking for a dynamic and collaborative Technical Writer to create and maintain MCA documentation and guides for consumption by client’s employees. We’re looking for someone who wants to learn about banking at Client’s uniquely global scale, and who can work across the various businesses to deliver clear, engaging user content.
The Technology MCA team is a new group within Technology Controls focused on:
Transformation and deployment of MCA across all of Technology
Running MCA as service provider for Technology
Creating value as a source of management insight in the MCA space
You will:
Document MCA processes and features, as well as standards and guidelines for system users
Work with MCA teams to turn draft content into well-organized, easy-to-read documentation
Collaborate with our Content Team Lead to maintain content quality and consistency
You should have:
6+ years experience and Proficiency writing software documentation, including API guides, tutorials, and quick-start guides
The ability to clearly explain technical concepts
Empathy for users
Curiosity
Proficiency in HTML, Markdown and documentation-as-code
Experience identifying gaps and types of content to be written
Experience with Risk, Control or technical products or platforms
Delivered documentation to market by working across business, engineering, and other stakeholders
A strong and rationalized sense of priorities, and the ability to translate conflicting priorities and requirements into an actionable plan
Launched and continuously improved documentation by focusing on both short-term and long-term goals
Comfort working within an Agile framework
High levels of accountability and ownership
Nice to have:
Experience in banking or finance
