Job title: Research Associate II - In-vivo

This position’s starting pay is: $45.00/hr.

Description:

The purpose of this position is to conduct in-vivo toxicology experiments using a broad range of scientific and technical skills to deliver high-quality data that contribute to advancement of discovery, technology and early development projects. The major accountabilities and competencies for the position include:

• Experience leading and/or support toxicology studies, performing technical and logistic activities to ensure successful conduct of the study.

• Active contribution at laboratory meetings, to drafting of study protocols with the Study Director and to scheduling and implementing all activities involved in the study.

• Proficiency in performing all technical procedures including but not limited to animal handling, administration of test articles by all routes (PO, IV, SC, IP, etc.), clinical monitoring and care of animals, meticulous and timely documentation of findings, collection of quality samples (blood, urine, etc.) by different routes (tail vein, saphenous, abdominal aorta, vena cava, etc.), sample processing, data review and retrieval.

• Review, understand and comply with all (company, IACUC, regulatory, etc.) policies, protocols, standard operating procedures, and working instructions including client Values and Behaviors.

• Contribute to review and update of standard operating procedures and working instructions as needed.

• Excellent laboratory citizenship – Able to work independently as well as collaboratively, to contribute to the upkeep and functioning of the laboratory and to foster a productive and dynamic team and work environment.

Requirements:

• Required to work up to 2 weekends every month.

• Experience (or able to quickly learn) using in-life data acquisition systems.

• Bachelor / Master of Science in a biological sciences field / Laboratory Animal Technician Certification

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as in-vivo technician conducting toxicology studies at a CRO
