S4 HANA Implementation Consultant

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a S4 HANA Implementation Consultant for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Data Validation and Testing Cycles: Oversee the progress of data validation and testing cycles, participate in daily defect calls, and proactively address any blockers to ensure smooth execution.
• Guidance and Support: Guide business users on data validation processes, optimizing the balance between effort and risk.
• Primary Liaison: Serve as the central point of communication between the FI workstream lead, business functional consultants, SMEs, IT BSA, and system integrators, offering regular updates on testing progress, issues, and outcomes.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks during data validation and testing phases and implement mitigation strategies to address them.
• Data Validation and Test Documentation: Thoroughly document all test cases, data validation scripts, and defect logs for audit purposes and future reference.
• SAP Security: In collaboration with the Security Workstream lead, system integrators, and IT, lead the FI workstream and perform testing related to SAP security.
• Chart of Account Rationalization: Ensure the successful implementation of Chart of Account Rationalization in S4 HANA and all interfacing systems.
• Migration Cutover Plan: Assist in the development and execution of the migration cutover plan.
• FI workstream consists of:
  • General Ledger - 80% lift and shift, 20% transformational
  • Consolidations - 100% transformational
  • Accounts Receivable - lift and shift
  • Cost Center Accounting - lift and shift
  • Accounts Payable - 80% lift and shift, 20% transformational.
  • Fixed Asset Accounting - 100% transformational
  • International Accounting - 80% lift and shift, 20% transformational.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor or above
• Skills in identifying and addressing risks during data validation.
• Knowledge of Chart of Accounts (CoA) rationalization and its impact to the processes and interfaces
• Ability to coordinate teams and manage data validation activities.
• Strong communication to keep business teams, IT, and leadership aligned.
• Articulate complex issues to business users.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with SAP security roles and permissions, ensuring compliance is a plus.
