Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year
We are a Full-Service Engineering company that specializes in providing design and engineering services for all aspects of building and utility infrastructure construction. Our retention rates are incredible and have extremely long term partnerships and client relationships.
Our Charleston team is seeking a Construction Contract Administrator for our South Carolina office. The primary responsibility of the Construction Contract Administrator (CA) is to serve as an expert engineering representative for multiple Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) teams on commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Conduct technical quality assurance reviews of Contract Documents.
Review submittals and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
Evaluate contractor cost proposals.
Represent the firm in construction meetings.
Must have a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) system fundamentals, interdisciplinary coordination between engineering and architecture, engineering calculations, equipment selection and scheduling, specifications, cost estimating, and contract documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
At least 5 years of experience in mechanical building design, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
Knowledge of commercial construction contracts (AIA, EJCDC).
Strong technical design and engineering expertise.
Excellent work ethic with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CDT or CCCA certification
Mechanical design or project management experience
Cost estimating experience
