Day-to-Day:

The Senior Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for maintaining and optimizing database systems. Their tasks include developing best practices, deploying databases, handling day-to-day operational activities (such as capacity management, backup, and recovery), managing database replication, and reviewing ongoing database changes. Additionally, they collaborate with other teams to address issues and ensure the smooth operation of large-scale SQL Server databases (General MS SQL) on Windows Server platforms. All software focused, no hardware, and available on an on call 24/7 basis. $90,000 - $115,000 Salary range based on skills and qualifications.

Must-Haves:

  • 5 + years of experience
  • SQL Clustering - V.20 experience
  • SQL Server -- 2019 experience
  • Windows Server 2019
  • SQL Queries from scratch - write simple queries
  • Experience with backup and recovery processes
  • System administration expertise with Windows Operating Systems
  • Proficiency in database installation, configuration, and tuning
  • Strong troubleshooting experience

Plusses:

  • Familiarity with ER/Studio
