Aeroshell Materials SME

Summary: Seeking an Aeroshell Materials SME to support the redesign of heatshield Avcoat blocks and delta qualification program planning and execution.

Job Requirements:

• Experience with Avcoat or other ablative materials

• Experience with NDE evaluation techniques and capabilities

• Experience with material allowable test planning and execution

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with bonding materials, processes, and techniques

• Experience with probability of detection test plan development and execution

• Experience with NASA programs

Job Responsibilities:

• Support redesign of heatshield Avcoat blocks

• Troubleshoot production run issues related to ablative thermal protection materials

• Conduct testing on materials to ensure they meet re-entry environments

• Interpret test results and draw conclusions on material performance

• Ensure correct bonding of Avcoat blocks onto composite dish structures using NDE techniques

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
