Who we need

Reporting to the Business Intelligence (BI) Team Leader, we are looking for a Qlik Developer. You will design, develop, and deploy Qlik-based BI applications, intuitive dashboards and reports to drive efficiency and enable business improvements. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to translate business requirements into impactful visualizations. You will leverage data integration and data modeling to present actionable business insights.

This is currently a hybrid role working remotely and on-site in our Scarborough office.

As our new Qlik Developer, you will:

• Build Qlik applications. You will execute the end-to-end application development process. You will extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources into Qlik, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and availability. You will build dashboards, charts, and other visual elements to represent data meaningfully. You will test and publish the application and support to end-users in accessing and interacting with the data.
• Analyze and validate. You will design, develop, and maintain dashboards, data visualizations and reports for various teams and senior leaders. You will build data models to support analytics, ensure data integrity and review and validate data accuracy in all reporting solutions.
• Pursue continuous improvement. You will ensure the performance, scalability. You will develop and maintain data models to support evolving reporting needs. You will stay up-to-date with the latest Qlik features and Business Intelligence tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate. You will work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and data needs and translate them into effective Qlik applications. You will train end-users and provide support for Qlik Sense applications.

You have:

• The technical expertise. You have experience in a Business Intelligence role, consulting with decision-makers, building interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools and performing ETL processes. You have a proven ability to independently develop new Qlik applications or extend existing ones, enabling users to explore data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Ideally, have exposure to one of Qlik products or have worked with other Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• The ownership. You are detail-oriented, committed to delivering high-quality work, and capable of balancing competing priorities without missing deadlines.
• The interpersonal skills. You have professional written and verbal communication skills and can translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. You know how to foster in-person and remote working relationships. You take a collaborative approach to your work and yet you thrive in an autonomous role. You are empathetic to the needs of your internal business customers.

What you can expect from the interview process:

• A virtual interview with a Talent Advisor discussing your interest in the role, the team s culture and how you will make an impact as our new Qlik Developer.
• A virtual interview with the BI Team Lead and the IT Manager, during which you will have a chance to talk about the role and share your technical experience.
• A second in-person interview with the IT Manager to understand your experience and values and how that aligns with ours.
• A final virtual interview with a leader on the Technical team. It's also a chance to ask questions about the team and the company.
