The Technical Project Manager is responsible for providing support with tasks and all activities associated with program and project management to the Federal client program, providing advice and recommendations on the management, operations, and control of projects. The Technical Project Manager develops and maintains project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables, monitors and tracks project progress, performance, and quality, identifies and mitigates project risks and issues, communicates project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, sponsors, and senior management, prepares and delivers regular and ad hoc project reports, briefings, and presentations, coordinates and facilitates project meetings, workshops, and reviews, and documents meeting minutes and action items. The Project Manager also manages project resources, scope, schedule, cost, quality, team, stakeholders, contracts, and documentation, and ensures compliance with project requirements, standards, and policies. The Technical Project Manager remains responsible for managing project closeout and ensuring completion of all project deliverables and lessons learned. Project governance, audits, and evaluations, and implements corrective and preventive actions are supported by the Technical Project Manager, who also supports continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in project management processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the defense or security sector
  • Experience in applying project management methodologies and best practices, such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile
  • Experience in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Experience in monitoring and tracking project progress, performance, and quality
  • Experience in identifying and mitigating project risks and issues
  • Experience in communicating project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, sponsors, and senior management
  • Experience in preparing and delivering regular and ad hoc project reports, briefings, and presentations
  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating project meetings, workshops, and reviews
  • Experience in managing project resources, scope, schedule, cost, quality, team, stakeholders, contracts, and documentation
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with project requirements, standards, and policies
  • Experience in managing project closeout, and ensuring completion of all project deliverables and lessons learned
  • Experience in supporting project governance, audits, and evaluations
  • Experience in implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed
  • Experience in supporting continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in project management processes
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
