W2 Contract: 3 Months (Likely extension)
Location: Remote
  • This position is predominately remote. Candidates should be comfortable coming onsite to the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore, MD on a quarterly basis.
Pay rate: $46.50/hour on W2 - All inclusive
Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide financial support to a specific Division, including but not limited to cost accounting, revenue recognition, subcontractor financial management, at-risk coordination, forecasting and EAC development, variance analysis, invoice preparation/review and cash flow management (to include timely unbilled analysis/reconciliations). You will interface regularly with project managers, account managers and business area directors. This position supports large and/or complex projects.
Responsibilities
  • Plans and produces various financial reports.
  • Analyzes trends, calculates and verifies data, and interfaces with other areas to develop reporting specifications, methods and procedures, and prioritizes requests.
  • Develops, coordinates, analyzes and verifies data and financial reports to produce the financial plan for all areas of the Company.
  • Creates and manages a database for plan reporting.
  • Develops specifications needed to generate statistics, develops methods and procedures for calculating data and presenting results.
  • Responds to manager, director, and executive inquiries, handles special requests, and researches complex accounting issues.
  • Communicate with corporate management on accounting/financial processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare financial data for presentation to upper management.
  • Coordinates, reviews and analyzes major financial report submissions to ensure corporate compliance with applicable regulations, laws or guidelines.
  • Gathers, compiles and interprets information collected through financial analyses in order to identify trends and provide insight for decision making.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor s degree and 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and/or accounting to include in corporate environments managing large volumes of complex financial data.
  • Highly experienced supporting month-end close processes.
  • Strong experience preparing and posting journal entries.
  • Strong experience in account reconciliations.
  • Strong experience in budget variance analysis.
  • Strong experience preparing financial statements / profit and loss (P&L) reports.
  • Experience using Oracle E-Business Suite for financials.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Power Pivots, complex formulas, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Power BI experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Healthcare insurance industry experience.
