One of our clients in West Des Moines is looking for a Senior Derivatives Trading Business Analyst. The Analyst will define and execute improvements and system fixes and prioritize the work for IT on the current ecosystem of derivatives trading systems and processes. The candidate will maintain communication with relevant stakeholders on progress, demos, and performance metrics of the Risk IT delivery and support team. If this interests you, apply today!

What you will do:

  • Work with in-house technology teams, in an Agile methodology, to deliver new or enhanced system capabilities
  • Work closely with business teams to create and maintain system backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Plan and prioritize system development and system feature backlog with detailed specifications understood by relevant teams
  • Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals
  • Coordinate between business and IT on maintenance and support efforts around the system
  • Ongoing monitoring of system performance and operations for continuous improvement
  • Build subject-matter expertise related to all derivatives systems and pre and post-execution processes at Athene.
  • Analyze and document requirements, business process flows, and data flows

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor s or higher degree in finance or IT-related field
  • 7-10 years of business analysis or product owner experience in Trading and Derivatives or related area
  • Strong knowledge of systems, data, and business process integrations between corporate functions in investments, risk, operations, and finance
  • Understanding of business value related to features and functions
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders
  • A strong candidate will be highly detail-oriented, well-organized, independent, assertive, self-motivated, and be able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Finastra, Calypso, Murex, Neoxam, Golden Source, Markit EDM, Blackrock Aladdin, ePAM, or similar systems is a plus
