Disaster Recovery Architect

The Disaster Recovery Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization s disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) strategies. This role ensures the recovery of critical systems and applications during disasters, minimizing downtime and data loss. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining DR/BC plans, conducting regular DR tests, and ensuring plans align with business needs. The architect will collaborate with IT teams, business units, and external vendors to integrate DR strategies with existing infrastructure and cybersecurity measures.

This role requires a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, proficiency in DR tools, and excellent project management skills.

Candidates should have 5-7 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in disaster recovery.

Certifications such as CBCP or DRCS are preferred.

The architect will also ensure compliance with industry standards, document all DR activities, and continuously improve the organization s disaster recovery capabilities.

Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in a related field, relevant certifications, and the ability to manage crisis situations effectively.
