Acutronic is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from proposal to production support. This self-motivated engineer will significantly influence product line development and enhance Acutronic’s Actuation market presence. Our ideal candidate will have at least five years of engineering experience. Prior experience working with control actuation systems is preferred.

Mechanical Engineer

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Design Electro-Mechanical actuators, including gearing, bearings, structural analysis, and ancillary component specifications
  • Support proposals in a fast-paced aerospace environment by assessing requirements, developing derived requirements, and producing compliance matrices
  • Generate engineering models and analyses, balancing rigor and speed, and contribute to cost and schedule estimates
  • Create and manage CAD models and detailed component/assembly drawings
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) for structural and thermal evaluations
  • Perform basic project management tasks as needed
  • Generate test procedures and reports, along with supporting data items for development

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering preferred
  • At least five years of engineering experience required
  • Prior experience working with control actuation systems is preferred
