The communications specialist will be responsible for partnering with the CTG Communications team to develop and implement internal communications and recognition programs that inform, engage, and motivate our employees. Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $58,800 - $122,200/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.

As a Communications Specialist, You Will Be Responsible For
- Managing content for the Cloud Technology Group's intranet space and bi-monthly newsletter, ensuring the publication of relevant and well-curated content
- Partnering with employees across CTG to uncover, draft, and share news stories
- Gathering and analyzing communications metrics that enable us to continuously improve our work.
- Creating and managing employee recognition programs
- Supporting the planning and execution of our quarterly All Hands meetings
- Participating in Akamai's Global Communications Network to ensure alignment and information-sharing across our global organization
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
- Have solid written and verbal communication skills
- Have an eye for design, and aptitude for using images and video to aid in storytelling
- Have the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and track details in a dynamic environment
- Be a dedicated team player, comfortable working in a large, complex, and highly matrixed organization
- Have previous exposure to using intranet tools (ideal, but not required)
