Sr. Project Manager
Responsibilities

  • Manage projects focused on the delivery of a wide range of technology and non-technology solutions including, but not limited to, business initiatives, software development or other technology related projects.
  • Manage and deliver the required products for each project, phase, or stage of a project based on that project's work plan.
  • Deliver and ensure adherence to time, budget, and deliverables and project milestones within agreed tolerances; manage tradeoffs between scope, schedule, quality & cost; and monitor and control the progress of the project at an operational level.
  • Establish and update project plan and project schedules with forecasts and actuals and manage deviations from plan.
  • Report to respective stakeholders through various methods including team meetings, status reports; steering committee; etc.
  • Liaise with project sponsors, customers, vendors, or partner and facilitate communication with all involved as appropriate and manage expectations with all stakeholders.
  • Escalate decisions and unresolved issues to the next level of management.
  • Ensure proper hand-off to maintain ongoing support, as needed.
  • Ensure the visibility of the business case or project scope.
  • Ensure all project requirements and objectives are properly documented and communicated throughout the project team.
  • Ensure PMO methodology, standards, process, and procedures are followed on all projects.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Project Management experience including experience in the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
  • Requires a combination of project management, business analyst, client relations, and high-level communications skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable communication with a varying level of personnel from executive management to front line personnel, as well as vendors and partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to be goal-oriented and action focused, pragmatic, and self-disciplined.
  • Advanced proficiency in project planning, organizing, team motivation, and delegation.
  • Ability to become knowledgeable quickly about each project sponsor's specific subject matter and business challenges they are addressing in their assigned projects.
  • Must have excellent communication, leadership, organization, scope management, issue management, risk management, resource management and time management skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and disagreements, handle difficult people and tense situations with diplomacy and tact, spot potential conflicts, de-escalate disagreements, encourage open debate and open discussion, and orchestrate win-win solutions when feasible.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Visio, Word, and Excel in addition to Smartsheet or other project management software.

Preferred

  • PMP Certification or relevant project management experience in financial industry.
