Overview:

Improvix Technologies is seeking a Data Science Experienced Project Manager to support the Department of State's Data Analytics and Assessment (DAA) team. This role is part of a multi-year effort to build out the DT bureau s data analytics unit, expanding solution implementations to create a multi-vendor data ecosystem leveraging tools like Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, Splunk, and more. The focus will be on data adoption and utilization across the bureau, improving data management, governance, and driving forward high-visibility analytics projects.

The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the transformation, helping pilot AI/ML and RPA capabilities and ensuring the bureau s success through customer engagement and showcasing the value of data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the data analytics unit expansion, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive the adoption of data management, governance, and predictive analytics practices.
  • Manage and deliver analytics projects, leveraging Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, and other tools.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customer engagement, effectively marketing and showcasing the value of the data solutions.
  • Work with data scientists, analysts, and end-users to develop high-value, scalable solutions.
  • Support the integration of AI/ML and RPA capabilities for improved operations and efficiencies.
  • Ensure alignment with the Department of State s bureau-level data strategy and chief data officer innovation initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on data analytics, governance, and management.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems and adoption strategies.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, Splunk, and similar tools.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML, RPA, and predictive analytics methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, including data scientists and analysts.

Preferred Skills:

  • Technical proficiency in data analytics tools but not necessarily hands-on.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into impactful business solutions.
  • Strong background in data-driven IT operations and efficiencies.
